As well as all the health issues going on around me, the boiler recently decided to be totally obsolete.
 
13FF refers to the controlling printed circuit board – now only available as a reconditioned part so the maintenance contract doesn’t cover it (now cancelled).
 
Decision made – the guy who did my gas fire back on 29 February (Blipped) is coming on Thursday to quote on a replacement – no hard sell involved.
 
Luckily, I have a stand-alone electric shower and it’s warm enough not to need the heating.
