I spent much of today watching a man up trees. 

Last year (or the year before) plans were put in to build a house in a large garden behind the trees over the road. Myself and the neighbours could see no reason to object. 

Today one enormous and two smaller conifers (planted 30+ years ago as a hedge and never cut) were felled. It’s opened up my view to the evening sun. I’d be happy for more to come down but doubt that will happen.
