Trawling . . .
. . . through my older photos, trying to ensure that I'm keeping nothing useless and I encountered this photo from seven years ago. I'm playing with the remote control on my iPhone, seeing what can be done with my camera from it, and as you can see the tripod was sinking into the gravel in front of Wimpole Hall. I can't remember if I became more proficient with the remote, but it has been updated by Fujifilm now anyway.
In the Extra, the view into the distance looking the other way; that long and flat greensward leads to some woodland that was used to hide bombers during WWII; they were based at the nearby airfield of Bassingbourn.
I'm using these today because I've put them together for the first time – that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it . . .
