Thanks to Sgwarnog for this month’s prompt of books to do with France. Also thanks to Squat Betty for organising the book club. I enjoyed this book which is about a couple who sold their possessions and bought a French barge. It was written by the wife. It was interesting to hear about small space living and the cultural differences in France. I bought the second book in the series but found it disappointing. They had to buy a cabin in the woods to get French residency after Brexit. It’s mostly about the repairs they did in endless detail and little else as it was during Covid lockdown.
