Damp en-plenair at Hyde Hall

Bianca's class was goash stone work which was OK, but it did become tedious having to paint lots of leaves first. Bianca is a star and recommended using a fan brush which did speed up the process. On reflection, not sure if goash is my thing as layering just made a muddy puddle of the colours..

Next call to Martin to agree price. Then visit to the solicitors; they still hadn't exchanged. So I stayed there and waited till it was done; we have finally exchanged and now have a date for completion. I have also organised a quote for Maidstone.

Then met up with the MAC for a visit to Hyde Hall for en-plenair. We had drizzle so settled under the umbrellas to keep dry. The day lilies were very impressive so I chose to paint them. On the journey home, we reflected that it was a good afternoon.

I was free for Soul Runners efforts, for the first time in ages. 500m repeats. So lovely to meet up with everyone. Naomi ran and chatted in the warm up; Lionel ran the first 500 with me and chatted about PBs and lucky trainers - both so kind. I kept up with Lionel and managed my PB at 500m. Ran out of steam a bit after, but it was worth it.

Plane tickets booked and paid for, so Italy is definitely on. Chat about 'bum blisters' is a bit of a concern; evidently we will be sliding on fixed seats. I am sure that we will think of a solution.
