Shhhh …

As Martin was working late shift today and it was raining, we took ourselves off to the cinema up the road in Leith to see ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’, starring  Lupita Nyong'o and Joseph Quinn. 

We very much enjoyed this film and would definitely say it’s not a horror, probably more sci-fi drama. The acting from both leads was excellent, and as the dialogue is limited as you would expect, it was important to convey the story through actions and facial expressions. Lupita’s facial expressions reminded me of how acting used to be in the silent cinema days.

The star however for me was Frodo (played by Schnitzel and Nico) the cat, such fine feline acting.

Anyway, dropped in to McDonald’s for some lunch on the way back home, and now relaxing with a cat on my lap.
