Bee On Pink Zinnia

Lots of pollinators buzzing around our zinnia 'patch' of late. Ms Bee's 'corbicula' or 'pollen baskets' on her back legs are heavy with pollen (up to 35% of her body weight) which she'll carry back to her hive. There it will provide protein and other nutrients for the larvae of future workers and queen bees. And, of course, Ms Bee will also pollinate lots flowers as she gathers the pollen.
