Bramall Hall…

… And it’s 16th Century wall paintings. (They are magnificent).

We took the guided tour today, which I can recommend. We peeped into the kitchen, and on a shelf in the larder was a tin of baking powder, a little blue tin… I have an identical one still, which was at the back of my Mother’s cupboard (no doubt from the back of her Mother’s pantry) which none of us had the heart to throw out. (I hasten to add that we haven’t used it!).
I don’t think they date back to 16th Century, but are certainly ‘antiques’ now!

Bramall Hall is a Tudor Manor House in a 70 acre park. It’s near Stockport.
