The Road Down to Lofthouse
Today we took the scenic route over to Pateley Bridge where we had lunch. It rained most of the way but this just added interest to the rolling countryside.
This pano was taken from Trapping Hill just above the village of Lofthouse. The village has changed little over time, the road squeezes between houses that can be touched either side by passengers. How modern day tractors pass through I have no idea.
This valley has the River Nidd passing through it and in the distance you may just make out the Gouthwaite Reservoir which it feeds before reaching Pateley Bridge just 7 miles from where I took the image.
