Wound up in Wexford

Curtains up

After our shocking experience a couple of weeks ago, W has understandably been rather disinclined to tackle more drilling.  But my sister is coming to stay, and we felt she would prefer to be able to close curtains in her bedroom.  So today we bit the bullet, and successfully put up curtain rails.  I pressed the curtains and hung them.  Sometime, I'll get around to making some specifically to fit this window - this is two narrower curtains on each side.

Tyler - our electrician - came this evening, and suggested that the wire W hit in the blue room is coming from a socket under the window.  My understanding was always that the circuit for sockets would be in the floor, and the wiring for sockets would come UP from below - if it didn't then it would be clearly visible.  But apparently in Ireland it is quite common for wires to come down to sockets.

We've finally got our Kia back, fully repaired from my little tiff with a bollard back in March.

And this evening I had another Windy Wednesday session, with the band, in Clonard Park this time.  I struggled a bit - I was the only flautist to turn up, and I've not been getting any practice time, because we've just been too busy.
