Kimono

Today's theme for J's online Art Talk group was Japan, and she chose to share some images from the Tokyo National Museum, which we visited back in 2007, one of which was a beautiful kimono. She also wanted to show the informal cotton kimono she chose in Japan, which had not been out of the drawer for some time. It's one of the most colourful objects in our house, vivid pinks and white on bright blue embellished with gold (and I didn't have time to iron it!). We so enjoy revisiting these memories. 
Later in the day the sky was no less blue when we took dessert outdoors, with the promenade of fluffy clouds progressing eastwards along the Channel visible above the Downs.
