Another hot one

I spent the whole day in the garden again today. It sure was hot. I think the heat index was 110. It was also very windy. I'm guessing it blew about 15 with gusts to 25 due south. It really takes it out of you. I watered this evening even though I know it is not recommended. The poor plants look as spent as I felt and I gave in to them. Staying hydrated is key and I made sure to do just that. We have things to do tomorrow in town. I'd like to find some cucumber plants. My vines are beautiful but the cucumbers are so bitter I' going to pull the plants. I'm sure they were mismarked. I hope it's not to late.
The day lilies are enjoying the dry heat as you can see.
