A Tradition -- Friday Evening Banquet

After a week of wearing short pants, flip-flops, bathing suits, and being camp casual, it's a stretch to get "dressed-up" for the Banquet, but we do. Every year it is a tradition to get the family photo at the camp sign.

So this is "us" -- our granddaughter Ashly, our son-in-law John, me, Mr. Fun, our grandson Emerson, and our great grandson Tristan. The people who are not at camp are our son, Shawn, his adult daughter, Desiree who is Tristan's mom, and our daughter Deidre.

We had a good week in spite of the fact that too many of the family were missing this week.

The banquet that followed that photo was delicious. Chef D'arcy went all out and I should have recorded all the special items he prepared, but honestly, the highlight for me is always listening to the campers, whoever chooses to, that go to the microphone to tell something special about their week. I thoroughly enjoy hearing how others have enjoyed their camp experience.

Good night from Catalina Island.
