Hawley Meadow Walk
I took a quick walk round Hawley Meadows before lunch with just the camera fitted with a wide 16mm lens on the look out for some suitable subjects for Wide Wednesday on the theme of intentional camera movement (ICM).
I discovered that this ultra-wide lens probably wasn't the best choice for ICM images due to the extreme corrections needed to combat the almost fisheye effect of the uncorrected lens, with the most successful achieved when the lens is kept horizontally and vertically level. The best shots were achieved by pressing the shutter while rising from a squat - a good work-out exercise!
I liked this one with its splash of purple from a clump of purple loosestrife, which also provides a Wild Wednesday shot for the week.
