A bit weathered

But still readable if you look closely. This butterfly is, so it says, is almost absent from central and southern England. The decline has occurred over the past 50 years.

I’m afraid more will decline as time goes on and it’s very noticeable how few there are about and similarly bees.

It’s always educational reading these signs as one comes across them. This Common is looked after by the Somerset Wildlife Trust.
