Crocosmia

We had a welcome slower start to the day as we didn't have to be at Hannah's for haircuts till 10am.  Back home we tidied up the verge across from the house which had become overgrown with various plants including a serious bramble and a bunch of nettles.  We've had bouts of heavy rain over the last couple of days and everything has sprouted (and become covered in slugs and snails!). Tony went up the main road to complete the clearance of the pavement we began last week and I did a bit of weeding around the garden, then it was time for me to head out for a run with three of the Hobblers.  It was a good catch up as, for various reasons, there have not been many hobbles recently.  Folks have been on holiday, injured, working too hard, but hopefully we can get back in to it through the summer.

The rain I mentioned earlier has brought on the crocosmia which is always a welcome colour on a dull day.
