Draining the swamp

We woke up this morning and there were no ducks, for the first time since 30th April.

I wondered if they'd be back as we know from neighbours that when they only got as far away as a garden or two, they would return within a few hours.
 
But no, and having now been gone for more than 12 hours, I'm hopeful the remaining 4 have at last found the river...

Which leaves us with the job of trying to rescue the pond.

After work we cleaned the pump and the filters for the waterfall, and eventually managed to unblock the tube that feeds the waterfall.  The result is the circulation of bright green water...but it's a start.
