La Maisonette de la Violette

Today we took the train from Carcasonne to Toulouse. When we arrived it was well over 30 degrees C . We arrived at our hotel which is being renovated. It’s very close to the station and in a not too salubrious area! We had a rest as the room was air conditioned and then eventually went out for an ‘apero’. It was in an interesting square and interesting people passing by. I had also forgotten how many people in France smoke. All seem to roll their own but almost continually!
We went out for a meal and then chatted to our son and fiancée. Tomorrow they will test again for Covid and we’ll go from there!
This photo was taken on our way back from the restaurant. We have actually been on the boat and they sell everything you can possibly imagine that is violet coloured, scented or made from violets!
