Bobcat

Seen while on a walk with Cousin Dana in Parr Park - a park near BG Grapevine. It was mid morning and the sun was already too hot to stay out long. But we were surprised to see a rabbit running fast in front of us and hot on its tail was this Bobcat! At first we thought it was a dog from a distance, but unusual to see a dog not on a lead, so we stopped to watch. The Bobcat didn’t manage to catch the rabbit, and he was evidently too hot, judging by his panting mouth. He seemed to pay no attention to us and gave up the chase. We also gave up on our walk and spent the rest of our time together chatting and having refreshments at BG.
