The Curly Field

A walk up the hill after our meal tonight. This field is known as 'the curly field' by the older residents in the village . Tonight its very beautiful in the low light . It's lovely to be back home after such a hard week with S . I found it upsetting not to be able to sit and chat without masks but she was very accepting of us serving her meals separately in the sitting room to avoid the risk of spreading the covid virus. That in itself was sad - she has so very little control over her life these days.
She is still quite unwell and we are very grateful that A and L are taking over her care tonight. Hopefully she will recover enough to test negative soon so that things can relax a bit.

A very nice chat with a neighbour up the hill that we haven't really got to know in the 21 years we have lived here .
The scent of lilies in the garden tonight .
And just so glad to be home.
