Bite
A very quiet domestic admin day…managing to shed 1000 photos from last year’s set, doing some finance stuff and etc. nipped to the co-op in Duns but otherwise very low key but productive.
N took Paisley out for a walk about lunchtime but had a scare when an off lead whippet dashed over to her and bit her on the mouth. He brought her home then went back to the house and workshop where the whippet lives and had a difficult conversation with the owners who basically didn’t believe him and said it wasn’t their dog. He was really upset, took her to the vets (who obviously gave her antibiotics and something else, never slow to medicate and charge!) and called the police and dog warden for advice. That all ended up taking quite a long time so he didn’t have a chance for the snooze he usually has before the drive south and he set off, still very upset/annoyed about how they’d reacted to him. At least Paisley seems ok….but he said she’ll be a bit nervy for a few days after it.
I cleaned up a bit and made a quiche and pudding for A for when she got home. We ate, talked about the incident this afternoon, and then relaxed on the sofa. T called, telling us about tackling the allotment and garden this afternoon and his potential work visit to Glasgow. We watched some episodes of the Netflix Critical Care series. I like having her with me when I watch it as she can explain everything that’s going on and all the acronyms….and we talked about what we’d want if we ended up in a vegetative state.
