A portrait of the artist.
Fiona and I took the bus today south to Coogee Beach and completed a long, leisurely, coastal walk from there to Bondi, taking most of the afternoon on a glorious sunny day - about four and a half hours.
Really enjoyed a late fish and chips lunch, resting on the promenade wall and overlooking the surf at Bondi.
The adventurous man in this picture is perched rather precariously on a tiny stool near the edge of the 25 metre eroded overhang of the cliffs - beneath him the Pacific swell crashing on the rocks.
He is an artist, sketching the view towards Bondi Beach, and appears to blend inconspicuously with the rocks, so wrapped into the sandstone does he become. Magic!
