Abstract Geometry

If there's one thing a quilter is familiar with, it's geometry. This is a picture of our bedcover double exposed and tweaked a bit. Math was never my forté in school but I did really like geometry.

Too hot to go outside today. We did the necessary chores early in the morning and have been inside the rest of the day. It's getting old. We gave Spike a new toy to keep him busy. (extra) I don't think he's too impressed. He can't shove it under the furniture and bug us to get down on our knees to fish it out, so where's the fun in it?

We are expecting our friends Marc and Teri from Boulder next week. In typical distractedness I misread the calendar and thought they were coming Wednesday but John pointed out that they are actually coming on Sunday. A flurry of cancelling and rearranging ensued. We're planning a trip to the coast which will be a welcome relief from the heat if we are still experiencing such hot weather.

Despite the fact that we've done very little, it feels like it's been a very long day. Time to veg out in front of the Tour de France...
