São Jorge and the Dragon (fly)

A 7km walk to the deserted peninsula at Rosais, São Jorge under the blazing sun. A whale watching post, a deserted lookout and military camp (abandoned after the 1980 earthquake), and lots of flora and fauna.

We saw four other walkers over 7 km and about three cars over 20km.

Lots of cattle, the odd sheep, birds and butterflies galore, and a number of red, blue and green dragonflies.
