This is a photo of a photo. This morning I went JS and her friend M to UiN to see an exhibition about Boots, which of course began in Nottingham. Most people know it as mainly a pharmacy also selling over the counter medication, toiletries, makeup and baby items. The exhibition reminded us that it also used to sell household goods, art materials, home brew, photographic equipment and fancy goods. Love that phrase! The photo however is of the restaurant on the top floor of their original flagship store. I’ve told several people that I used to go there with my mum and granny for lunch ( grilled halibut!) but not sure I was always believed! Sadly the photo doesn’t show the grand piano which was always played. We had s good cup of coffee in the cafe and then I came home whilst they went into town to book a holiday. It was a grey day and rained in the afternoon.
