Lavender Field
I spotted an advert for an open day at Lordington Lavender in West Sussex, so with warm weather and sunshine promised after a period of miserable days I just had to go and check it out.
The event, which is only held this week, was well organised and quite busy, but I managed to get shots of the field with out too many people or the need to clone out. Worryingly, the butterflies, bees and other insects seemed few on the ground; this year's weather has probably not helped and the blooms probably not as profuse as one would expect by now. Still I had an enjoyable morning and managed to achieve my aim of a geometric inspired shot for Ingeborg's Abstract Thursday challenge, with a couple of macro shots in extras.
I headed a few miles south to Emsworth for an walk round the harbour to end up a good day out.
