Or is it Buddleja?

This steel frame is part of a new building on a site that has been vacant for about 10 years. In that time Buddleia have spread all over the site. This example on the edge will soon be gone when the building is finished and the landscaping or hard standing is put in place.

So enjoy the beautiful flowers before they go. Sad really, but the Buddleia are opportunists and will crop up on another site near you soon.
