stopping for a quick bite

Hubby and I were so busy scanning the trees for birds that we nearly walked right into this mule deer. We were just 15 feet away when I took this blip.
And much to our surprise, the deer came strolling right toward us after finishing her snack. I thought she might start begging for peanuts! But then she veered off toward more trees.
A lovely start to our day!
