Brompton Cemetery

A day trip into London today to search for ancestral burials. This is Brompton Cemetery, one of the big Victorian London Cemeteries. The pic was taken from the Central Avenue towards the Chapel and was well looked after.
We had a detailed grave reference and were able to find the burial area, but it was so overgrown with very tall grass, bracken, brambles and everlasting sweet peas(which the bees were loving), that it was impossible to locate the headstone.
I have read of the plight of our burial grounds, but seeing was believing.
