At the Top

This bee was on the tip of the Salvia Veronica Sunny Blue Border flower. I had planned on Blip this flower for FF because it was Blooming well after a few years of very few flowers. Thanks, Anni, for encouraging us to look for Flower photos on Fridays.

Today Ellie and I played lots of games and used our imagination with her toys. Then she did some 1st grade school prep with me. I bought a set of flashcards from the Sylvan Learning Center that are designed to prepare a child for a good start in 1st grade. She has the math down perfectly and reading words are mostly perfect too, the only actual learning she needs to do is spell words that can be sounded out. There are about 50 cards with photos and lines showing how many letters are in the word (up to 5 letters) a child must spell...I think it is not expected that children will know how to spell these words, but I think she will be spelling them soon. She is motivated to learn. Of course, the time involved in practicing is not her favor thing, but with a little extra motivation of earning a little time watching TV she is overjoyed. Her TV time is very limited and she does enjoy a few favorite appropriate shows. We trade time: study time for TV time...it works.
