Lagos

Thursday 
After breakfast we caught the local bus to Alvor and tried to find a water taxi to Lagos. We'd missed a few, but we were lucky enough to get one leaving in 10 minutes which had space for us. It was an interesting trip along the river Torre estuary, out into the sea and then along the estuary of the river Bensafrim into Lagos. We had 4 and half hours to spend in Lagos before our return journey. We wandered around the old town and walked to the fortress, had lunch and had lots of rests in the shade as it was a very hot day (35°).
The return journey was quicker, the wind had risen and we were sprayed by the sea - very refreshing!
