Fun at the orchard
We eventually made it home in the early afternoon and I was given a good licking by Bertie. There was no way he would let me out of his sight for the rest of the day. We had planned a small get together of those who had helped to look after our dogs and those who had looked after the Community Orchard in our absence, eight of us in all, and where better to have it than the orchard where the dogs could play together safely while we chatted. I had taken along tea, coffee and cake but one of the group had an even better idea and produced a huge bottle of Prosecco. It was a lovely way to round off our trip and chat about our adventures.
My blip shows a photo of the new water feature that Nick has built at the orchard in our absence with the assistance of a couple of friends. C is pouring a jug of water into it while the rest of us watched the water finding its twisting way down to the end. I think it will be enjoyed by both children and adults alike once Nick completes his refinements.
Back at home during the evening I realised that I was developing a head cold and just hope that I haven’t passed it on to anyone else.
