The Crow dance

It must be one of the strangest village festivals in the country. The village fair includes the crow dance. The crows dance around the scarecrow which does not do its job. Eventually, the farmer arrives and shoots the crows. Some pigeons are released and fly off. Some of the crows escape, some are dragged away. Eventually the scarecrow wakes up and runs around the field. It is all quite bizarre. The dance was first created during the 1930s depression when unemployed man invented a dance to collect money during hard times. The crows were deliberately anonymous so that they could avoid having to declare any money earned to the taxman. To this day, they only have an individual number.
