Around Stromness

News this morning that there was another change to our itinerary. We had arrived in Stromness this morning, instead of going to Papa Westray and North Ronaldsay as the weather wouldn’t allow us to land. 

We had been told that we were going to Skara Brae,  but as there were large cruise ships in Kirkwall, they couldn’t fit us in.

No worries. Orkney has so much to offer. We had a fabulous morning visiting the Ring of Brodgar, followed by the Standing Stones of Stenness and the Barnhouse Settlement.

Again, I’m spoilt for choice with my blip and it’s only lunchtime !
