Recent discovery? (:¬o)
I, almost, labelled it "Two Spoons" on account of both of me posting a small spoon today.
All my life, if I want to eat a boiled Egg, I always sought out the smallest spoon I could find.
It was only comparatively recently in terms of a lifetime, that I discovered there is an Egg Spoon.
"They" quoth. thusly - "An egg spoon is a specialised spoon for eating boiled eggs. In comparison to a teaspoon it typically has a shorter handle and bowl, a more pointed tip and often a more rounded bowl.[citation needed] These characteristics are designed to facilitate the removal of an egg's contents from the shell, through a hole in one end. In practice, the advantages of an egg spoon over a teaspoon can be unnoticeable, especially when eating a large egg. ~ ~ ~ ~ "
I did a search for "Antique Six Egg eating set" and found a few, none like ours; and I've NO idea if it was antique, but the nearest was on offer @ ≈ £180.00 (:¬o)
SO - having found a lonely Apostle Spoon I thought I'd grab it for my "eggery".
