Jeff, Peg, and reason to shut up
This is Jeff, Sue’s brother-in-law, an engineer. He’s building a gazebo onto their house, a huge project, partly because he has such high standards. He loves massive projects, has completely re-done both bathrooms in their house, re-designed the drainage around their house, built a retaining wall, and it goes on. He’s a terrific storyteller and regaled us with stories of Frank Lloyd Wright, the architect, a friend of his family and (in Jeff’s opinion) a terrible engineer. Jeff says Wright’s buildings often have serious construction flaws.
According to Jeff, “One family called him in the middle of the night because during a rain storm the roof in the music room was leaking. Wright told them to lie under the piano and call him in the morning.”
After Sue and I came back from spending the afternoon with her sister and brother-in-law (Extra for Sue and Peg), we heard the news about the Trump rally. Right away the pundits were insisting Trump just won the election, but the best response I heard was that we should shut up and wait for more information. What really happened? We may never know. The election is still three months off. Anything can happen in three months. I'm not giving up hope.
