Feeling Sheepish
Home now after a great weekend which will stay in my memory for a long time.
The beautiful barn conversion we stayed in belongs to C ‘s sister , L and she lives in the adjoining farmhouse.
She is also the felter who along with her friend K ran our workshop yesterday.
And what master felters they are. They only took up the hobby about seven years ago and their reputation quickly grew, so much so they were asked to take part in a TV program about crafting which resulted in 3,000 plus orders!
Now they take orders which are shipped all over the world.
I’ve included just a fraction of their work in extras for those that are interested. My humble first attempt is my my main ( not that l think you could confuse the two ! )
Also an extra to show the bunting that L had made for her daughter’s wedding a few years ago. Half of the thirty metres came in handy. And some more of the fabulous felted heads.
Then this morning L came round with four carrier bags of wool, sets of needles and a list of suppliers for the four of us who really caught the felting bug, she wouldn’t take any money for them either.
So now to look forward to next Saturday when we are all invited to Lynn’s party at a nearby hotel. Our dance group will be performing two routines and dressed accordingly to styles from the 50’s - the decade Lynn was born in. To say we are all a bit nervous is an understatement!
Thanks for all the lovely comments and rewards for the past couple of days.
Will now be catching up on your journals while keeping an eye on the tennis and football.
