Hard To Tell

We can tell our age through birthdays but how do we know how we are ageing? Over the last three or four years I have occasionally used this bench in Falmouth Cemetery. The legs and its height off the ground make it look as though it belongs in an infants school.
Four years ago I could sit down and stand straight up without putting my hands on the seat to assist, I mostly still can. Of course other factors come in to play, tiredness, weather and how long I have been walking. Today it was straight up unassisted.
It’s a great looking bench as well, bit of character.
A quiet day, little bit of gardening tidying but otherwise reading up on the new requirements for the upcoming rugby season.
