Out

Himself was up early to go out this morning so by 0930 I'd been running and put on and hung a load of washing out. I waited til he came back before going to the allotment, which turned out to be quite depressing. Hardly anything is growing and anything that is has been decimated by slugs. I'm usually knee deep in beans and courgettes by now but even round two of the french beans haven't done anything yet. The ones in the garden at better but the courgettes seem to be rotting before they get big enough to pick. I  feel for the farmers, and our pockets, as they must be having the same problems.

I think I've been given a pass for tonight's football as Himself is probably going out to watch it. Although as my neighbours already have their usual noisy friends round I may get less irritated if I go with him.
