80 Degrees North, 49.305'

The furthest North we managed to sail up to the edge of the pack ice.  Unfortunately the ice and a weather front meant we couldn't reach Isflakbukta on phippsoya island and had to turn back. But, wow, what an experience toasting with champagne being the closest vessel to the North Pole, only another 300 miles North.
The alternative venue was the bird cliffs at Alkfjellet in the Hinlopen straight. Never seen so many nesting birds, really surprised we managed to keep clean as they were flying all around and over us in the zodiac boats.
