Pink hollyhocks

My garden is full of yellow hollyhocks, and the occasional white one, but I haven’t seen any of my favourite pink ones this year. Last year I found a few pink ones in the only place that I can’t see from the house, which is the north-facing sideway where the compost bin and water butt are situated. I harvested lots of seeds from them, and have managed to grow some new plants which I will plant around the garden later on in the year.

So you can imagine my delight when I went round to the water butt today and discovered these two pink ones! I will harvest their seeds later as well, and hopefully that will mean that I will be able to ensure that I have pink hollyhocks every year in future.
