St Fagans National Museum
Had a lovely few hours this afternoon at St Fagans National Museum of History. It's only a ten minute drive away, but it's the first time we've been this year. There are lots of old buildings which have either gone into disrepair, closed down, or were due to be demolished. The Museum has bought a lot of these buildings, had them taken down brick by brick, and then rebuilt back at St Fagans. It really is a wonderful place. The main is of The Vulcan pub, a famous pub from the town centre which was due to be demolished due to redevelopment. The extras are Blaenwaun Post Office, and Gwalia Ironmongers which was originally built in the Bridgend area in 1880, and moved to St Fagans in 1991.
