London!

What a long day! We left home at 8 to get our 8.30 train. A croissant kept Jacob amused for a surprisingly long time then he enjoyed people watching, reading, and bob the builder before an impressively long nap in the vestibule.

I hadn't considered the hour long bus journey to Peckham in 25degrees heat. Jacob looked ill and was burning up, Stephan and I were too hot and grumpy.

Louise greeted us with open arms and smiles though, and we enjoyed a makeshift paddling pool and iced water on the patio. A quick walk to the common then back home for Jacobs dinner. He was quite unsettled when we first arrived but after his dinner he enjoyed running around with Louise and was much happier. He had a cooling shower and we made a nest on the floor of the spare room. Stephan and I (and Harris) lay down with Jacob and he soon fell asleep. Maybe a little too easy?

Now sitting on lou and Chris' lovely balcony overlooking the common, enjoying the breeze and a large glass of wine. Perfect.
