Fish and chip dinner
We've had another lovely day. I was committed to playing with the band at Johnstown Castle. This is a local country house, open to the public. Ever since we moved here, it's been on our list of "places we must visit". Everyone we chatted to would ask if we'd been there.
So we went early, so that we could have a good walk round before before I played. We had a cup of tea/coffee on arrival and had fun trying to persuade the peacocks to open their tails for us. Then a wander around the grounds. The walled gardens are still being developed, but were a delight.
After I'd done my fluting, we drove down to Kilmore Quay and after ordering fish and chips, which were going to be about 30 minutes, we had a wander out onto the quayside.
What a delight to be able to sit outside and enjoy our chip dinner - which was very tasty. Generous portions of fish, and our decision to have 2 portions of chips between the three of us was well judged. We drove home on yet more roads that were new to us - there's such a maze of small roads around here.
Now ArcLight and W are watching The Match.
