Silly Saturday ...

... Loopy Bunny run/walk.

Even though today was very hot and humid we still wanted to get out for a walk.  And since we also wanted to pick up fresh corn at our favorite farm stand Jacobsburg State Park was our destination.

Since the Sobers Run trail was only a short distance from the farm stand that's where we ended up.  As we started down the trail we saw some markers indicating some sort of race/event was being held here.  And then we started to encounter all manner of runners and walkers.  We found out from one of them that the event is called the Loopy Bunny ... and is a continuous 4.5 mile loop through the park for what could be up to 12 hours if you want to go that long.  This same runner told us she had been doing the loop since 6:00 am this morning!  And this was at 1:00 in the afternoon!  WOW! 

At one point during our walk R and I sat on a bench along the trail for a little rest.  I took this shot of another Loopy Bunny participant while we were sitting here.  

When we returned home I almost immediately jumped in the pool for a nice cool down as I was very hot and sticky.
