Diamondback terrapin

We fished our crab pots this afternoon and found this terrapin in one of them. It would have drowned if it had stayed in there much longer. The pots have turtle exclusion devices in them and I can not tell you how it got past them. I put it along the shore in the shade and kept an eye on it. After about 2 hours hubby put it near the waters edge and off it swam. Another happy ending.
We took my mother the crabs. We did not catch a lot but she was happy to get them. She is always looking for something to keep her busy. We have some very hot weather ahead so I plan to spend some time inside getting ready for our next trip to the farm.
