Not Portobello Beach
A sad day today. The husband of my former PA died unexpectedly 10 days ago. His memorial service took place this afternoon and the reception was held at this hotel nestling below the Cotswold escarpment. There was a very large turnout of family and friends and beautiful tributes made by his sons and his best man. He was one of the most hospitable humans I have ever known. He was a true gentleman and someone who always genuinely had time for everyone and had the ability to make everyone around him laugh. A rare and precious gift. He is sorely missed by us all and especially by his family and his wonderful wife.
My blip, attempts to encapsulate the sense of grief and loss all those who knew him feel through the tree on the left. The tree on the right is symbolic of the richness and abundance of his great charitable legacy. His love, care and high hopes, that he always wished for us all, are represented by the aviation "H" on the ground.
RIP.
