Lunch Out Again!

Two days in a row! Today I caught the train to Retford and went to meet Jeri. She took me for lunch at a lovely café-style restaurant in the town. 

I had this delicious halloumi and falafel salad. The purple in the thumbnail is pansy type flowers, which I ate. They had no flavour at all. The food and the coffee were excellent though. There was a good variety of really fresh salad and the halloumi was grilled to perfection. They were not stingy with the sweet chilli dressing either.

We walked back via the scenic route and I arrived at the station with minutes to spare before the train arrived. The weather had been pretty decent up until the point when I got off the train back in Lincoln when it started to rain. And it is St. Swithins day... Oh, nooo!!

Last night we went to the Adam and Eve pub to watch the football final. We chose there as we knew it would be fairly civilised. The result was a disappointment, but Spain deserved to win. They had been the best team throughout the tournament.
