End of an era

Tonight the Purple Diamonds played their last game with one the founding members, Ollie Boyes. Top goal scorer, regular man of the match and all round lovely kid. He and his family are moving to the Lake District and, although he has suggested it, it's a little too far to commute to his Friday night games. He will be missed by all. The glorious weather allowed us to mark the occasion with a picnic, games and fizz on the back common after a victorious match which saw the Diamonds avoid relegation. A great time was had by all and inevitably plans were hatched for the Diamonds to go on their first tour to the Lake District.
