Purple rain

Felt pretty warm and humid on today's morning dog walk.

My usual fruit and veg stall wasn't on the market today.  So it was a very quick trip.

Hoped to spend time in the garden but it rained.  Did some sorting indoors instead. 

Took hound for second walk at 4pm.  The warm humidity was palpable.  

Mr is away visiting his elderly mother on the south coast.

I had a craving for scrambled eggs on toast  and marrowfat peas for dinner.  

Now chilling and about to watch another End of Summer episode.  I watched the Spain v England match last night.  I'm not a football fan, only watching occasionally but I always think Gareth Southgate appears generous and empathic to the players whatever and has created a cohesive team.  Now it seems pundits are turning on him because he cannot guarantee a win.  Wouldn't it be constructive to consider the qualities of winning teams instead. 

Looks like more rain to come.  Treasure the sunshine when we see it.
